Background
Island Larder is a local food retailer in Shetland. Originating as Shetland Fudge Company in 2006, the business has evolved, expanding into a shop, café and event space in the centre of Lerwick. Strong values emphasising high-quality local produce and sustainability are at the heart of Island Larder’s brand.
Challenge
NB was tasked with creating an aesthetic design that complemented Island Larder’s new branding whilst achieving the site’s primary purpose – selling their extensive range of goods and services.
Island Larder also wished to introduce a wholesale section that allows wholesale customers to place orders online, saving staff time spent processing telephone orders.
During the development of a new site, NB was also asked to reduce the maintenance resources required, with Island Larder experiencing several issues with upgrading on their old site.
Solution
Island Larder’s new website began as a Shopify theme which was then customised by our in-house experts to create the structure and aesthetic required to align with the company’s requirements and fresh branding.
