Background
Burra Bears, the original collectable Shetland teddy bear, is a company established by Wendy Inkster over 20 years ago. Now producing over 1,000 bears per year, Wendy's Burra Bears have achieved worldwide interest.
Challenge
NB’s brief was to create a visually-appealing website, which could serve as an online shop window for the Burra Bears brand.
Solution
We created an engaging and friendly new website, featuring a natural colour palette and design inspired by recycled materials and watercolours. The design reflects Burra Bears’ brand ethos of recycling worn Fair Isle jumpers and using natural Shetland wool.
The site features the following functionality:
- Large high-resolution image galleries showcasing the range of bears and the different options clients can choose from.
- An outlet page featuring an interactive map showing all the Burra Bears stockists.
- Email newsletter sign-up form so users can keep up to date with the latest news and offers from Burra Bears.
- An easy-to-use content management system which the client can manage externally, allowing them to upload regular blog content and new products.
